Karl Kurtz recognized by PSA with 2024 “President’s Award of Excellence”

    

Karl Kurtz has been coaching at Tampa Bay Ice for the past few years, and in that time has developed a strong rapport with students, other coaches, and staff.  He is a staple of the coaching staff at Tampa Bay Ice and has a 30 year history of coaching competitive figure skating all over the country.

     Along with a long history of helping athletes achieve professional and personal success in figure skating, has garnered a number of accolades throughout his coaching career.

     Most notably is the recent recognition presented to Karl by the Professional Skating Association at their annual meeting on May 15, 2024 in Colorado Springs. Karl was recognized for the 2024 President’s Award of Excellence which recognizes exceptional coaches in all disciplines for their positive contributions in the sport of figure skating.  Karl was one of only seven coaches that was recognized for this prestigious award.

     So make sure to say Hello to Karl if you see him around the rink, and of course congratulate him on a well deserved award.
